FuturoNow has recieved a Compassion Capital Fund grant to support the work of LA County Community and Faith Based organizations serving in the Hispanic Community.  We invite you to join us January 20-22, 2010 at New Hope Community Church to find out more details about the 15 Subawards that will be awarded to organizations and Capacity Building Training for your organization.  Please invite any other churches, community based or faith based organizations that would be interested in these opportunities.  Here are the details for Built For Lasting Impact:

Eligible Subaward Applicants

FuturoNow project will invite eligible organizations that have the capacity to address family and youth needs through new or expanded remediation and anti-poverty programs and services in Latino communities within Los Angeles County.  We will explain more details about the Subawards on January 20th and answer questions.

·      The organization must be a faith-based or community organization.

·      The organization must have an annual budget of no more than $500,000.

·      The organization has never received direct federal funding.

·      The organization must not have previously received CCF funds for similar work.

·      The organization must provide community services that are meaningful and important within the community.

·      The organization must provide services within the stated geographic boundaries.

·      The organization is not required to have a 501(c)3 federal tax status.

·      The organization must provide services that are culturally appropriate.

·      The organization must have the capacity to provide anti-poverty and/or youth mentoring services.

·      The organization must indicate a willingness to grow and invest time by involving its leaders in the process.
